Lakers courtside seats now $2,200Associated Press June 13, 2006, 4:06 PM ET
LOS ANGELES -- Stargazing courtside is going to cost more next season at Los Angeles Lakers games.
Courtside seats at Staples Center were raised from $2,100 to $2,200 per game -- a 4.8 percent increase, the team announced.
Seats in six lower-level sections between the baskets went up from $210 to $220 a game, also a 4.8 percent increase.
Overall, the Lakers raised prices in eight of their nine season-ticket pricing plans, averaging 4 percent to 5 percent.
The NBA-mandated $10 seats were the only prices left unchanged. The Lakers offer 500 of those seats, which is the league minimum.
Season-ticket holders renewed at a 92 percent rate last year, down 5 percent from the previous season. Read more about it at ESPN
