Lakers prepare for back-to-back blitz vs. Thunder LOS ANGELES (AP) If the Los Angeles Lakers can just shake the memory of the disastrous final two minutes of Game 2, they'll find plenty of reasons in the first 46 minutes to be encouraged about their chances this weekend against Oklahoma City.
Behind the Box Score, where the Lakers absolutely melted down the stretch Oklahoma City Thunder 77, Los Angeles Lakers 75 (Thunder lead series, 2-0) The Oklahoma City Thunder were down seven points in this contest with two minutes left to play, with just 68 points to their credit. And though we've seen comebacks that overcome that differential in even shorter amounts of time, given Los Angeles' defensive dominance for the first 46 minutes of the contest, who in their ...
Plenty of Blame to Go Around in Los Angeles Lakers’ Game 2 Loss to Oklahoma City: Fan’s Reaction On Wednesday, May 16, the Los Angeles Lakers blew a seven-point lead late in Game 2 to lose 77-75 at the Oklahoma City Thunder. Andrew Bynum and Kobe Bryant led the team in scoring with 20 points each.
Lakers Blow Golden Opportunity: Fan Reaction The Los Angeles Lakers had a chance to make a statement in Game 2. After getting absolutely destroyed in Game 1, the Lakers had a golden opportunity to steal a game in Oklahoma City and plant some seeds of doubt in the minds of the Thunder. With two minutes remaining, Los Angeles had a seven-point lead. The NBA is a league where teams can score points in a hurry, but a seven-point lead with two ...
Fan’s Take – Why the Lakers Were Right to Choose Kobe Bryant Over Shaquille O’Neal It's been years now since the Los Angeles Lakers made a choice to keep Kobe Bryant and let Shaquille O'Neal go to Miami. The Hollywood drama has seeped out of the Lakers locker room since that trade. O'Neal and Bryant seem to have come to an understanding. Yet, with a Lakers team on the verge of another potential postseason break-up ("Kobe's Late Mistakes"), the "what if" scenarios surrounding ...
Los Angeles Lakers Game 2 Sequel: It Just Got Worse After a Game 1 debacle, the Lakers lost Game 2 when Kobe Bryant went flat and the Celtics and Devils made unintelligible statements in victory.
Lakers can’t stop Thunder; can they come back from 0-2 deficit? It’s a sight not often seen: Kobe Bryant coming up small in the fourth quarter of a big game. But, in Game 2 of the Los Angeles Lakers ’ Western Conference semifinal series against the Thunder in Oklahoma City, it was Kevin Durant , James Harden and the Oklahoma City defense delivering in the fourth quarter. And, with the game on the line, Bryant wasn’t the go-to guy for the Lakers’ final shot ...

Los Angeles Kings are two wins from Stanley Cup Finals. Local media, take note! Playoff fever is rampant in Los Angeles this week as both of the city’s NBA teams and it’s hockey team continue their postseason runs. And while the Lakers and Clippers still dominate headlines, it’s the Los Angeles Kings who are the hottest team in town at the moment. Tell us your thoughts on the Lakers and Kobe problems!
Tell us your thoughts about the Kobe on again off again love for the Los Angeles Lakers? Should Kobe stay with the Lakers? Should he go to the Clippers? Who should the Lakers
trade him for?
Let us know. Send us an email
Dear Lakers
The game Friday against Phoenix shows how good the Lakers have become. The differences from '06-'07 are basically four: health of the team, more maturity, Fischer, and Crittenton; (and of course, Turiaf starting and no Odom.)
So, everything should be fine with the team. Kobe will be happy with the team, and probably stay unless he is traded (for every good player on another team!)
No, Kobe will stay, and the Lakers will win the championship. You heard it here first!
