It's been 22 years since David Lee Roth was on stage with Eddie and Alex Van Halen, but after a summer of confirmations and denials, it looks like the Van Halen reunion is definitely going to happen.
It's not the truest form of the original lineup though because the band didn't invite original bassist Michael Anthony along for the ride. Instead, Eddie Van Halen's son Wolfgang has stepped in on bass duties.
The newly reformed rock 'n' roll legends will play with Ky-Mani Marley on
Dec. 18 at Honda Center in Anaheim, but if you can't wait that long, check out the band on Nov. 20 Van Halen at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Heck, why not just go to both shows?
Tickets are $49.50-$149.50 at both venues and both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday.
Poor Kelly Clarkson. First, she got a bunch of flak for her third album "My December" and then she had to scrap her summer tour because tickets weren't moving at a quick enough rate. Oh well, it's all in the past. Ms. Clarkson seems ready to head back out on the road and will stop at Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk on Nov. 18. OMG! Fall Out Boy's totally coming back to SoCal for another go-around, this time on Nov. 27 at Long Beach Arena with Gym Class Heroes, Plain White T's and Cute Is What We Aim For. Girlfrenzy, featuring Sheryl Crow and Fiona Apple, among others and scheduled for Oct. 27 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, has been postponed until sometime in 2008. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.
Foo Fighters will play a record release show at the Music Box at the Fonda in Hollywood on Sept. 24. Tickets, $20, are on sale now and include the band's latest effort "Echoes Silence Patience & Grace." Sadly, by the time you read this, they may already be gone.
Get down to some old school grooves! The Temptations and the Four Tops are teaming up for a show at the Grove of Anaheim on March 13. Tickets are $47.50-$62.50 and go on sale at noon Saturday.
