I heard a story once about Phil Jackson, when he was growing up and lived in Williston, ND. The rumor was, that Phil stood has his hands and walked on the freshly painted basement ceiling, of his Dad's church. This story came from my aunt, who used to babysit Phil in his younger years.

HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH TICKETS OR ACTUALLY MEETING A PLAYER IN PERSON.MY EXPERIENCE CAME IN THE 80'S WHEN MAGIC WAS THE POINT GUARD.I WAS A DIE HARD BOSTON CELTICS FAN AT THE TIME.I HAD BEEN PLAYING BASKETBALL ON THE COURTS.THEN WENT TO TAKE A SHOWER AND GET SOMETHING TO EAT.BUT I NOTICED A BASKETBALL GAME ON TV,SO I WENT TO CHECK OUT THE GAME.AND I SEEN MAGIC COMING DOWN THE COURT ON A FAST BREAK JAMES WORTHY ON THE RIGHT SIDE,MAGIC {WITH ONE HAND} FAKED A PASS TO THE LEFT WING,BUT ENDED UP THROWING A NO LOOK PASS TO WORTHY ON THE RIGHT WING.FROM THERE IT WAS A WRAP !!!!!!
I WENT BACK OUT TO THE BASKETBALL COURT,BOSTON CELTIC SHIRT IN HAND,HUNG THE SHIRT ON THE FENCE AND BURNED THE SHIRT {R.I.P.} AND I HAVE BEEN A DIE HARD LOS ANGELES LAKERS FAN EVER SINCE.AND UNLIKE WHEN I WAS A BOSTON CELTIC DIE HARD,IT'S "TILL DEATH DUE US PART" AS A LAKER FAN.REPRESENTING THE LAKERS HERE IN BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS UNIFORMS AND ALL.

"Kobe Bryant is the ultimate sports star and watching him play is amazing..watching him on TV doesn't do him justice."
My favorite Los Angeles Lakers game of all time was the 3rd round game of the Los Angeles Lakers vs the Portland Trail Blazers. When the Lakers came back
from 16 points down. It was crazy inside the Staples Center. I have never heard it so loud or seen the crowd go so crazy as when the Lakers pulled ahead. To me it
was more electic then when the Lakers won the championship. Chris St John Los Angeles CA
My son and I met Kobe Bryant in a LA restraunt. I would just like to say that even though there was a crowd around him all begging for his autograph he took the time to sign everyones
autograph. This was way before the whole Denver thing happened. Kobe Bryant could have been like every other big NBA star and not taken the time to be cool with his fans but instead he made
one of the best days of my sons life.

I love the Lakers through and though and am really looking forward to this season. The Lakers Schedule is tough for the second part of the season but hopefully if Kobe Bryant doesnt get injuried

"I have never experienced anything like I did last year at the playoffs when I saw the Los Lakers vs Phoenix Suns. The STAPLES center was crazy and the energy was incredible!! I'll never forget it."

The Lakers are without doubt one of the best NBA teams. I went to a game last season and the vive at the Staples Center was incredible.

I went to a boxing match at the Staples Center a few years ago, to my surprise half of the Lakers players were sitting on the same section I was. They were all very approachable and down to earth even though they made it to the finals that season.

My girlfriend got me tickets for a playoff Lakers game for my birth day, which has been the most memorable birth day I've had.

Being a huge sports fan meeting NBA legend Jerry West was a great moment in my life, still looking as if he could still play 15 minutes a game West was courteous, kind, and first and foremost he chatted with me like i mattered which i so appreciated.Being a student of the game i got the impression Jerry West respected my opinions and knowledge of the NBA past and present, it was truly a joy to have a few moments with "Mr.Clutch".

In early 2004 i happen to be at an Orange County restaurant that Los Angeles Lakers all-star guard Kobe Bryant was at.During this period Kobe Bryant was dealing with his court case while still attempting to play at his always high level, as a friend and i looked over at him, Bryant kindly smiled and gave a thumbs up as he knew we were fans of his and regardless of what accusations were being levied at him. My friend and i were thrilled to get acknowledgement from Kobe Bryant and thought that would be the end of that, but oh we were wrong, as i walked towards the men's room which also going towards Bryant's table i looked at him once again and he asked did i know what was good on the menu, having never ate at this particular restaurant before i answered i dont know but let Bryant know that i held him in very high regard and that he would always the great number "8" in my heart. That quote led to a long conversation and me and my friend taking photos and exchanging pleasantries and best of lucks with Kobe Bryant, im glad that this eatery wasnt very populated because it gave me the opportunity to interact with one of the greatest players to ever wear a jersey.

In 2003 I attended many Los Angeles Lakers games, but in particular sticks out.For that contest i was fortunate enough to have floor seats, which made it possible for me to basically touch the players, during the warmup Shaquille O'Neal walked by and i so badly wanted to say something to him but i was a little apprehensive.I started to think what would be the harm if i were to say hey "Shaq", so i finally gained the courage to say something,im fully expecting to be blown off so to speak but to my surprise Shaquille O'Neal was more than receptive as spent a moment to chat with me and shake my hand as well as allow me to take a photo. His actions proved to me that all star athletes arent accessible.
